What a happy ending for 'Sad Pawpaw''. Last week, published a story of a grandad who looked gloomy after all but one of his grandchildren showed up for dinner .
His granddaughter Kelsey Harmon posted an image on Twitter showing her Papaw's head bowed, gloomily eating after he made hamburgers for his six grandchildren — and only one had showed. Now, he doesn't have to worry about company as hundreds of people attended a cookout hosted by him on Saturday .
Kenny Harmon, known online as "Sad Papaw," grilled hamburgers for visitors at the cookout, held at the family's flea market in Purcell, Okla.
Some of the attendees traveled from out of state, including Sharon Fernandez, who came from California with her daughters — a roughly 20-hour drive.
"It was sad, you know? Here he makes this dinner for his grandchildren, but I understand it, we all have busy lives," Sharon Fernandez told CBS one of Papaw's grandchildren, Brock Harmon, told KWTV
"If you've got your grandparents, go see them,". "Take them to dinner. Go hang out. Realize they're not going to be around forever."
