Nigeria Elections 2015: “I salute Buhari,” Ayo Fayose concedes defeat

The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has called the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate,Muhammadu Buhari a “dogged fighter” for his part in Nigeria’s Presidential elections. Fayose also urged Nigerians to accept the results of the elections in good faith calling them “the will of God.” The governor made the comments via a statement released on Tuesday, March 31 by his media aide, Lere Olayinka. Afcon: Tunisia clear to play in CAF qualifiers

Tunisian Football Federation (TFF) vice-president Maher Snoussi has negotiated a deal with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) that will enable the country to compete in the 2017 African Nations Cup qualifiers. A Texas mother was arrested for leaving her 7-year-old daughter in a dumpster overnight after saying that she drank vodka but remembered little else about the evening, police said on Monday. Alicia Carroll, 28, was charged with abandoning and endangering a child. The girl said her mother told her to get into the trash container after the two left a spa because police were chasing them, according to the arrest warrant.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set up a committee to probe the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Rivers State. The committee was formed to address alleged irregularities and calls for the cancellation of the elections by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The presidential election results for 18 states plus the FCT has so far been announced. The APC has 10 states, while PDP has 8 states plus the FCT, Abuja. It's a very tight race. So far APC is leading with 8,520,436 votes while PDP has 6,488,210 votes.

In Azerbaijan: Martial arts fighter dies in action

Just few weeks after a Mexican wrestler died in action, reports have emerged of a mixed martial arts fighter who died in the cage during a national MMA event in Azerbaijan last week. Ramin Zeynalov died from a devastating blow to the head during a fight. According to Sportbox, the 27-year-old seemingly collapse after receiving the blow and was pronounced dead by doctors after all efforts to revive him were futuile.

President Goodluck Jonathan has defeated All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. The funeral for a woman (pictured left) in Mexico took a strange but incredible turn when stray dogs unexpectedly showed up to pay their respects. The woman, named Margarita Suarez was known for her kindness to all kinds of animals and used to feed stray dogs and cats that would show up at her home every day. Her family members said they were stunned when the dogs arrived at the funeral parlor where Margarita's body was lying in state.
